Call recording and the recording notice

Each phone line has two recording settings, both on by default. Recording gives you the recording and transcript for every call.

Steps

1. Open Number (Number and phone) in the app.
2. Under Recording, find the line.
3. Record calls keeps the recording and transcript for each call. Turn it off and nothing is recorded, so no notice is needed.
4. Start calls with "This call is being recorded" plays the notice at the start of each call, in the language the line answers in.
5. Changes apply from the next call.

Good to know

• Some US states and countries require everyone on a call to consent to recording. We recommend keeping the notice on; you are responsible for the recording rules that apply to your calls.
• Recordings and transcripts are kept for 24 months, then deleted automatically. You can delete any call at any time.
• Only the owner or an admin can change recording settings.
